Eric and Dawn Richards are the dynamic duo at Richards Imaging and Photographic Services. Formerly, the business was known as Richards Studio but the scope of their work far exceeds the Studio now, so a name change was needed to capture all they do. Eric has been involved in the photographic profession for over 55 years. He began photographing weddings in high school and college. He has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Fine Arts Degree in Cinema and Motion Picture Production. He also has received from the Professional Photographers of America his Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman Degrees. He is a Certified Professional Photographer and is one of a few Approved Instructors for Certified Professional Photographers in the country. He has served as President of the Georgia Professional Photographers Association and has received his Georgia Fellowship Degree and Georgia Service Degree. He also has received the National Award from PPA for his service to the Georgia Professional Photographers Association. He is recognized by his peers and is an accomplished instructor in professional photography having taught across the United States at colleges, universities, conventions and seminars.

Dawn is the driving force at the Studio. For over 40 years she has managed the affairs, the marketing, the customers, the personality and the excellent standard of service. From babies to brides, children to families, high school seniors to senior executives, Dawn is the consummate advisor, director and producer of the photographic services that they provide. She has helped create the high standard of quality the Studio is known for and spends as much time as needed to help each customer as they decide on their images and purchases.

What are your hours?: We schedule most sessions Tuesday through Saturday.

All creative sessions are by appointment, and we love working around your schedule and preferred location. Flexibility is important to us — because this experience should feel effortless on your end.

Where are you located?: After 23 years located in Sharpsburg Georgia, we have moved our base of business to our home in Peachtree City as we now provide concierge photograpy on location. We come to you or meet on location depending upon the needs you have for photographic services.
Do you accept reservations?: Every session is secured with a creation fee paid at the time of reservation, guaranteeing that we can give you our complete focus and a relaxed, unhurried experience.

Every session is personally reserved just for you — your time, your place, and your story. A creation fee is collected at the time of booking to ensure that when we meet, you'll have our complete and undivided attention. No rushing, no distractions — just a relaxed, memorable experience crafted around you.
What payment options do you accept?: Richards Imaging accepts American Express, Visa and Master Card, including debit cards. We also take checks and cash. *Please note that social media images are not released until the balance of the order is paid in full. Weddings are booked with a deposit and the balance paid two weeks prior to the wedding.
How long is the typical wait?: We think we are easy to book with a short wait time because we work full time. We arrange outdoor sessions in the mornings and late afternoons and early evenings, especially for families and high school seniors. Our most sought after times are in the summer and afternoons after school. We can generally handle only one session after school, so we appreciate earlier reservations for those sought after times.
Do you have a cancellation policy?: If your child or family member is sick, yes, please cancel. We will never forget one of our own family portrait sessions at a friend’s home and our daughter was misbehaving. Really misbehaving! When we got home we realized she was sick with a 104 degree temperature. It was very evident in the pictures.

Seniors pay their session fees when booking. Please email or call the studio if needing to reschedule due to illness. We regret you may have to forfeit your session fee if you choose to go to Six Flags instead of coming to the fun with Richards Imaging. This is because you took away a session time someone else could have used.

We always go over our cancellation policy when we book weddings before the contract is signed. The short of it is, life happens and Eric and Dawn are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. We try to accommodate changes of date and location.
